RAK Roadtrip Route & Updates!

The RAK Roadtrip is starting very soon and I could not be more excited (well, I would be more excited if someone volunteered to pack for me. Not my strong suit considering I own around 20 scarves and need to dwindle that down to two or three. Favoritism is hard, guys.)! Dan and I are departing on Tuesday, November 5th, which is also the first day that we will be committing a random act of kindness -- right here in our starting point of Traverse City! I will be updating you about the first RAK very soon next week... and then the RAK Roadtrip news will be coming at you full speed ahead via blog for the next two months!

Dan and I sat down earlier this week, put on some Beatles tunes and hammered out a potential (aka pretty accurate, but things happen so you really never know) timeline for our trip. We also contacted a few people to meet up/stay with/utilize their showers for our first stretch of the road trip. We would love to see as many people as we can (and may still be in contact with you!), so if you see somewhere near your place of living, please contact me via blog comments, Facebook, Twitter, phone call/text or my email ( so we can be sure to meet up! We would also love some help RAKing people along the way, so if you're interested in doing so, please let us know!

In RAK Roadtrip fund news, we are officially at $2,370! I spent a good chunk of time last week sending out thank you notes to those who had donated -- thank you again for all of your support!

If you would like to receive your very own cloud enveloped/handwritten thank you note, you can feel free to donate here! It would be super wonderful to raise $3,000 soon -- I also want to note that we will be keeping the donation page open during the duration of the road trip, so you'll be able to donate all through the dates above. I'll be keeping track of funds spent with a spread sheet (and am going to find a way to post those to the side bar of the blog as well).

In unRAKrelated news, Dan and I just spent a few days in Ann Arbor and East Lansing with some of our friends. We went to a Bro Safari concert on Wednesday (which was mindblowingly good) dressed up like this:
Our makeup may not have lasted all night, but it was pretty darn great while it did.

And now, I have to pack. Or maybe just sit here thinking about packing for a little while longer. Ugh.
